Last month, the OHA launched Redesigning Care through Digital Health Implementation, a new collection of hospital initiatives in the area of digital health that offer valuable lessons for peers. The stories are focused around a main challenge, the process undertaken to address it, key success factors, a reflection on the impact, and insight on lessons learned. The collection is organized along broad themes that include: data and anlytics, connecting care, patient experience, EMR evolution, and virtual care. Each case is unique and showcases the ingenuity and rigour involved in implementing digital health solutions that closely incorporate end-user experience, and most importantly, a focus on improving patient care.
Recognizing that digital technologies have, and will continue to, dramatically change care delivery in Ontario's hospitals and health care organizations, we hope that this collection will act as a catalyst in spreading innovative ideas across the sector.
