Improving access to timely, high-quality diagnostic care close to home is the goal behind a new investment imaging technology by MICs Group of Health Services (MICs)—Lady Minto Hospital (LMH), Anson General Hospital (AGH), and Bingham Memorial Hospital (BMH). With the integration of a state-of-the-art CT scanner, MICs has strengthened diagnostic services across its communities, delivering faster, more precise imaging to better meet the needs of their communities.

This advanced technology enhances our ability to deliver excellence in patient care. With significantly faster and sharper imaging, patients will benefit from shorter wait times, quicker access to results, and more efficient care planning. By offering this level of diagnostic capability locally, MICs reduces the need for long-distance travel, ensuring timely and accurate assessments close to home.

Enhanced imaging also supports more informed clinical decision-making, enabling earlier interventions, improved outcomes, and a safer, smoother care experience. Beyond direct patient benefits, this upgrade strengthens MICs’ ability to retain and recruit physicians. Modern diagnostic tools are an important factor for health care professionals choosing to work and stay in rural and northern communities.

These improvements reflect MICs’ ongoing commitment to modernizing facilities and providing high-quality, patient-centered care for all residents in the region.

This important advancement was made possible through the generous support of the Marcel and Frances Labelle Foundation and the Cochrane Classic Vintage Riders Club. Their contributions play a vital role in expanding access to essential healthcare services within our communities.
