A Guide to Adopting Digital Modes for Patient Experience Surveying

Adopting digital survey modes is a great way to save on cost and gather more timely patient experience survey results. To support hospitals with the adoption of digital survey modes, the OHA has developed a guidance document detailing the steps a hospital might consider as it seeks to adopt digital modes.

Adopting Digital Survey Modes: Virtual Session

On April 21, the OHA hosted a virtual member session to support hospitals in preparing for a shift to digital patient surveying. The session walked participants through the benefits of digital survey modes, guidance on the collection of patient contact information, and issues around consent and requirements under the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA). Participants also heard from Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH) and University Health Network (UHN), who have successfully implemented a process for collecting patient email addresses.
