Lynne Innes

Board Member

Lynne Innes has been President and CEO of the Weeneebayko Area Health Authority (WAHA) since 2019 and is also a nurse practitioner. Lynne has been with WAHA since 2011 starting as a Registered Nurse, then as Nurse Practitioner with WAHA's Moosonee Medical Centre.

In 2018, she was named Vice President, Clinical Services and Chief Nursing Executive. Lynne provided leadership and guidance to WAHA's In-Patient, Operating Room and Family Medicine departments and Laboratory and Diagnostic services.

Lynne was selected by the College of Nurses of Ontario in 2004 to become a Nurse Practitioner Examiner. In this role, she ensures that other nurse practitioners meet provincial standards in the care they provide. She was also appointed by the Canadian Nurses Association as one of 10 health care leaders from across Canada to develop the new National Nurse Practitioner Licensing Exam and test bank in 2017.

Lynne has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, a Nurse Practitioner Certificate, and a Master's of Science in Nursing from Laurentian University.

A member of Moose Cree First Nation, Lynne is committed to serving the people of the James Bay and Hudson Bay coast to ensure everyone receives high-quality health care as close to home as possible.
