Lynn McDonald
Board Member
Lynn McDonald spent nearly 20 years of her professional life with CIBC/CIBC World Markets culminating in the role of Managing Director, CIBC World Markets, Canadian Credit Capital Markets. During her time with CIBC, she was a member of the Credit Deals Committee and the Employment Equity Committee. Before working with CIBC, Lynn had a progressive career in the Ontario public service where her final position was as Deputy Minister and Executive Director of the Office of the Premier and Cabinet Office (1985-1986).
Lynn has extensive experience as a Director of not-for-profit organizations, including the Board of Governors, Trent University; the board of Frontier College where she served as Chair for four years; Bridgepoint Health Foundation where she was Chair, Finance and Audit Committee and member of the Executive Committee and the Investment Committee; and member of the Bridgepoint Hospital Finance and Audit Committee.
Lynn served as a Director of Equitable Bank, a publicly traded, federally regulated, financial services company for 12 years until 2023. During her tenure on that board, she had various roles including Chair of the Human Resources and Compensation Committee, Chair of the Governance and Nominating Committee, member of the Audit Committee, and member of the Risk and Capital Committee.
Lynn joined the Greystone Health Trust as Trustee in 2005 and was Chair from 2011 until its wind-up in 2016. She then joined the first Board of the OHA Legacy Fund where she serves as Chair. OHA Legacy Fund is a wholly owned subsidiary of the OHA to manage the OHA's long-term investments.
Lynn was elected to the Board in September 2019.
