Cynthia Davis, BSc, MSc, ICD.D, President and CEO of Lakeridge Health, is widely recognized for her transformative leadership in the Canadian health-care sector. Beginning her career as a registered nurse, she brings more than three decades of experience blending point of care with executive leadership. Since joining Lakeridge Health in 2021 during the global COVID-19 pandemic, Cynthia has led the organization through significant growth and modernization advancing major initiatives such as the Lakeridge Gardens Long-Term Care Home, the Jerry Coughlan Health & Wellness Centre, and Canada's first community hospital-based MD Family Medicine Program in partnership with Queen's University. Before joining Lakeridge Health, Cynthia held progressive leadership roles across multiple health-care organizations, including as President and Chief Executive Officer of Western Health in Newfoundland. Known for her strategic vision, operational discipline, and unwavering commitment to patient-centred care, Cynthia continues to shape a more integrated and sustainable health-care system for the Durham Region and beyond.
