Cynthia Davis

Cynthia Davis has been President and CEO of Lakeridge Health since January 2021. Over the past 16 months, she has led the organization through many transformative changes as it continues to realize its vision – One System. Best Health. – as the integrated health system in Durham Region.
Most recently, Cynthia oversaw Lakeridge Health's pandemic response and the implementation of Epic, a new clinical information system, alongside six other hospital organizations in Central East Ontario. She has also advanced the development and opening of a new long-term care home and the site selection process for a potential new hospital in Durham Region.
She is a registered nurse and has more than three decades of health care experience that includes progressive leadership roles in Ontario and Newfoundland. Prior to Lakeridge Health, Cynthia served at Western Health, one of four integrated health authorities in Newfoundland and Labrador, as the Vice President of Patient Services and Chief Nursing Officer for eight years, and then as President and CEO.
Cynthia is a graduate of the Western Regional School of Nursing diploma program and holds a Bachelor of Science (Nursing) from Dalhousie University and a Master's of Science from the University of Toronto. She is a member of many provincial and national health-care engagement groups, including the Canadian College of Health Leaders.
