Health Research and Innovation Committee

​​​The Health Research and Innovation Committee was established in 2020 with a mandate to provide the OHA with strategic advice regarding hospital-based research and strengthening of the overall health research enterprise. The committee communicates with OHA management, government, and research sector partners on issues impacting research and innovation within the hospital sector, and also provides a forum for shared communication and education among members. It is currently co-led​ by Dr. Allison Sekuler, Sandra A. Rotman Chair in Cognitive Neuroscience; President and Chief Scientist, Rotman Research Institute; President and Chief Scientist, Baycrest Academy for Research and Innovation; Vice-President Research, Baycrest Health Sciences, and Dr. Lehana Thabane, Vice President, Research at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton and Scientific Director of the Research Institute of St. Joe’s Hamilton.
