The Ontario Health System Quality and Innovation Awards is a new event that recognizes and celebrates the extraordinary achievements of individuals and teams in the Ontario health system and provides a unique platform to acknowledge the efforts and successes of health care professionals who have gone above and beyond in their service.
The first annual Ontario Health System Quality and Innovation Awards is a collaborative effort hosted by the University of Toronto's Dalla Lana School of Public Health, in partnership with Ontario Health, Ontario Hospital Association, and Ontario Medical Association. This partnership underscores the collective commitment to celebrating and uplifting the health care community.
How to Apply
Teams and individuals from across the Ontario health system are invited to submit nominations in seven categories of awards. The award categories take inspiration from the Quintuple Aim objectives and reflect the belief that teams across our health system are working to increase quality across all its dimensions. They include:
- Category 1 - Improved Patient Experience Award
- Category 2 - Improved Population Health Award
- Category 3 - Improved Value and Sustainability Award
- Category 4 - Increased Equity Award
- Category 5 - Improved Care Team Well-being Award
- Category 6 - Improved Indigenous Health Award
- Category 7 - Excellence in Health Communications Award
Nominations will be accepted online until Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at 11:59 pm ET.
The Ontario Health System Quality and Innovation Awards aim to become a tradition that annually celebrates the dedication, innovation, and excellence in Ontario's health care system, fostering a culture of recognition and continuous improvement.
