​​The OHA worked with Dr. Ross Baker, of the University of Toronto, to develop the following paper examining high performance and value from the patient perspective. 

In shaping the future of Ontario’s healthcare system, it will be important to consider the changes required to achieve high performance, engage staff across the system, and integrate the vision of patients, families and caregivers in developing plans to improve patient experiences and outcomes. While Ontario has demonstrated innovative initiatives that have the potential to transform our healthcare landscape, we face several barriers in scaling up and spreading these initiatives. In this paper, by Dr. G. Ross Baker and Renata Axler, the authors identify 12 attributes of high-performing healthcare systems.
