Patient Experience Community of Practice

​Community of Practice

The OHA's virtual Patient Experience Community of Practice (CoP) was established to collaboratively drive enhancements in the collection and use of patient, client, and caregiver experience data to improve Patient and Family-Centred Care (PFCC). As an ongoing and growing provincial community, CoP members benefit from having access to a community of system partners, peers and ideas that enable them to better understand and implement improvement strategies for the experiences and outcomes of patients and families.

With the guidance of a provincial Steering Committee comprised of hospital patient and family experience leaders, the CoP sessions feature discussions with thought leaders and experts on key patient experience priorities. Meetings are typically held four times a year via webinar.

Driving the Modernization of Patient Experience Series  

The OHA has launched a new series for the CoP, Driving the Modernization of Patient Experience Measurement, to support hospitals that are in the process of, or planning to, adopt the new patient experience measurement platform, Qualtrics XM. Appreciating the scale of change management involved, the OHA's intent is to highlight patient experience measurement​ modernization efforts underway across the hospital sector.​​
