The integration of different health care professionals in maternal and newborn care is beneficial for hospitals, communities, health care providers and, ultimately, women and babies. Collaborative maternity care helps make services more accessible and closer to home for communities and helps provide continuity of care for women. This conference is focused on collaboration as a prerequisite for high quality maternity care in hospitals.

At this conference participants will:
• Gain knowledge of the Newborn Access to Care Strategy
• Learn how midwives are integral to the maternal and newborn care system in Ontario
• Discover how hospitals are leading maternity care integration and what strategies they’ve  implemented
• Find out how to maximize provider competencies
• Become more knowledgeable on liability issues and integration
• Learn about the recent Midwifery Integration Resource Manual
