Region 3 Annual Meeting and Education Conference

Deputy Minister Ron Sapsford a Confirmed Speaker
On Friday, June 10, 2005, the Ontario Hospital Association (OHA) will be holding its Region 3 Annual Meeting and Education Conference at Vaughan Estate, Estate of Sunnybrook at 2075 Bayview Avenue in Toronto. Sheila Jarvis, OHA Board Chair will be the opening speaker at the conference.
The conference will explore the impact of the government’s transformation, which will be felt acutely by hospital boards. This informative and interactive half-day session is designed to provide a forum for dialogue on the face of governance in 2005. Participants will receive an update on the work of the OHA’s Governance Leadership Council at the session, and tools and resources will also be provided. All Region 3 members are encouraged to participate, and in particular, the OHA’s dedicated volunteer Trustees.
The conference will also feature a presentation by Ron Sapsford, Deputy Minister, Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, Virginia McLaughlin, Chair of the OHA’s Governance Leadership Council, and David Brown, Chair, Ontario Securities Commission. These speakers will be sharing their insights into the changing face of governance given the government’s transformation agenda.
