Posting of August-September 2005 Hospital-Specific Wait-Times Data
Today the Government of Ontario announced Ontario-specific wait times targets for five specific procedures: cataract, cancer, cardiac and joint replacement (hip and knee) surgeries and MRI/CT scans.
These targets are more comprehensive and ambitious than those announced by provincial and territorial health ministers on December 12, 2005. These targets are outlined in a news release and backgrounder available at the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (MOHLTC) website, www.health.gov.on.ca.
In addition, hospital-specific wait-times data for the months of August and September 2005 are now publicly available at www.ontariowaittimes.com.
This website includes information on hospital-level, LHIN-level and provincial-level wait times, as well as information on provincial wait-times trends and a Data Guide.
