The OHA is pleased to present this videoconference presentation on "Ornge - Leaders in Transport Medicine".
Ornge, a non-profit organization, is under contract to the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care to co-ordinate all aspects of Ontario’s medical transport system and began operations January 2006. Ornge continues to evolve as a stand alone, non-profit organization, working in collaboration with key stakeholders to better understand their needs.
This session will provide participants to learn more about Ornge as they address such topics as:
• Ornge transport medicine
• Ornge utilization criteria
• Medical Scope of Practice
• Preparing the patient for transport
• Critical Care Land Transport (CCLT) program (available in select regions)
• Ornge Communications Centre
