Toronto – Today the Ontario Hospital Association (OHA) welcomed the Government of Ontario’s announcement of $120 million to purchase new medical diagnostic equipment and increase the hours of operation of existing MRI machines.

"Today’s investment in medical equipment is welcome news," said OHA President and CEO Hilary Short. "It will expand access to key diagnostic and medical procedures such as MRIs, CT scans and radiation therapy and improve care for patients."

"More efficient diagnostic and medical equipment means faster diagnoses and better treatment," said Ms. Short. "That is good for patients."

Founded in 1924, the Ontario Hospital Association represents 154 hospital corporations operating at 225 sites across Ontario.
