OHA Weekly Corporate Mailing to Become Fully Electronic Hard Copy Mailing to End on February 1 2007
In response to significant Member feedback regarding the number of OHA communiqués sent to hospital CEOs on a weekly basis, the OHA launched its “Executive Update” on October 12, 2006. The Executive Update is a weekly email that bundles together OHA publications, reports and communications materials, including the Executive Report. The Executive Update was designed to both rationalize the number of OHA communications and replace the weekly, hard-copy corporate package that is mailed by the OHA to Hospital CEOs, Board Chairs and Communicators. Executive Update users are able to click on any heading in the Executive Update and be linked to further information from the OHA’s website. Members-Only materials, such as certain Bulletins and reports, are password-protected.
In November of 2006, a survey was emailed to all users of the Executive Update requesting feedback. The OHA’s Members reported that they found the Executive Update preferable to the hard-copy corporate package, noting that the electronic version is more easily shared among staff and is environmentally responsible. In response to this feedback, the OHA will discontinue mailing its hard-copy weekly corporate package, which includes Executive Report, on February 1, 2007.
