New Board of Directors Elected at The Change Foundation
For the Attention of Hospital CEOs, Board Chairs, OHA Board of Directors and CACN Members
From Sheila Jarvis, Chair, OHA Board of Directors
At the July 8 special meeting of the Members of The Change Foundation (TCF) a new nine-person board of directors for The Change Foundation was elected, consisting of Tony Dagnone, Gail Donner, Scott Dudgeon, John Hudson, Teddene Long and Wally Wiwchar as directors. Hilary Short and Leo Steven continue their terms as directors while Gale Murray serves as an ex-officio director in her capacity as TCF President.
I am also pleased to announce that at the TCF directors meeting following the special meeting, Tony Dagnone was elected Chair of the Board of Directors for The Change Foundation. As you know, Tony is President and CEO of London Health Sciences Centre and the OHA Board’s Immediate Past Chair. In addition, Wally Wiwchar, Past Chair of the Timmins and District Hospital, and Treasurer of the OHA, was elected Treasurer of the Foundation. Hilary Short was elected Secretary of the Board.
These changes will ultimately result in a closer strategic alignment between TCF and the OHA while respecting the independent legal status and the separate mission and mandate of each organization.
The OHA would like to acknowledge with gratitude the major contributions made by past directors of The Change Foundation who led the successful development of this organization since its beginning years, starting in 1997.
Brief biographical information about the new board for The Change Foundation is attached for your information. I know you will join me in congratulating the new board members on their responsibilities and wish them the best as they move forward in their efforts to influence and inform the ongoing development of Ontario’s healthcare system.
