Minister of Health and Long-Term Care to Address Delegates at OHA Rural and Northern Health Care Conference
The Ontario Hospital Association (OHA) is pleased to announce that the Honourable George Smitherman, Minister of Health and Long-Term Care, has been confirmed as the luncheon speaker at next week’s Rural and Northern Health Care Conference from May 25 – 26, 2006 at the Renaissance Toronto Hotel Downtown. Minister Smitherman will address delegates on May 25th (Thursday) from 1:15 p.m. to 1:45 p.m.
In addition to the Health Minister, a number of other noted leaders – including Brian Tobin, Former Premier of Newfoundland and Former Federal Cabinet Minister; Dr. Joshua Tepper, Assistant Deputy Minister - Health Human Resources Strategy Division, Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care; and Hilary Short, President and CEO of the OHA – will deliver presentations designed to inspire delegates to think more creatively about integration, governance, accountability and collaboration within their hospitals, and in the communities they serve.
