Hospital Report
A Balanced Scorecard for Ontario Hospitals
The Ontario Hospital Association (OHA) and the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care (MOHLTC) are joint sponsors of the Hospital Report project with the goal of producing a series of report cards for hospitals of Ontario. Using a balanced scorecard, broad areas (quadrants) of activities and outcomes are accessed in the areas of Financial Performance, Clinical Utilitization and Outcomes, System Integration and Change and Patient Satisfaction. The result is the production of series of reports known as Hospital Report. The Hospital Report series represents one of the most comprehensive performance measurements and public accountability reviews of hospitals in the country.
With research conducted by the Hospital Report Research Collaborative, it's aim is to help people in Ontario better understand and assess the performance of their local hospitals and of the provinces hospitals as a whole. It also supports efforts by hospitals to improve the quality of their services.
