Federal Election Called for January 23


Yesterday, opposition parties introduced a no-confidence motion tabled by Conservative Party leader, Stephen Harper. The motion passed in the House of Commons last night by a vote of 171 to 133 forcing the Liberal government to resign. An election has been scheduled for January 23, 2006.

In the time ahead, the OHA will review Party positions related to health. Additional details and updates will be provided to members following the OHA’s analysis of key issues as appropriate.
