Canadian Institute for Health Information 2005 Annual Report

On Wednesday, June 8, the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI) will release its 2005 "Health Care in Canada"annual report.
This year’s report is expected to comment on the relationship between the number of surgeries performed in a hospital and patient outcomes. The report is also expected to include a systematic review of Canadian and international research on volumes and outcomes, and to present key measures on health care and outcomes for 71 health regions across Canada.
Electronic copies of this report will be available at 8:30am on June 8 at www.cihi.ca.
OHA Policy and Public Affairs will analyse the report and follow-up with Members if significant issues arise.
