Your Health Care – Be Involved Patient Safety Tips Campaign
Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital is proud to participate in the OHA’s Your Healthcare – Be Involved Campaign as we value one of the fundamental elements of safety – communication.
Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital displays the campaign posters and tear-away pads in high traffic areas at both our sites including the Emergency Department waiting rooms, elevators and corridors. The campaign brochures are located at each entrance as part of our hand hygiene kiosk and are included in our information displays in each patient care area.
In 2005 and again in 2007, the hospital developed a full media release of the campaign including press releases to local newspapers and published articles in our award-winning newspaper “Health Talk”.
