The OHA and the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (MOHLTC) HealthForce Ontario congratulate the winners of the 2010 Quality Healthcare Workplace Awards. This is the inaugural year for the program, making these organizations the first in the province to achieve this prestigious award, recognizing their organizational efforts to improve health care workplaces in ways that contribute to providers’ quality of work life and the quality of the care and services they deliver. Awards were given at four levels – Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum – and were designed to encourage self-evaluation, learning and improvement. The OHA commends these hospitals for their positive leadership and commitment to ensuring a quality health care workplace.
