NRC Picker’s research demonstrates the interactive relationship between the perceptions and experiences of employees
and physicians and the patient experience. The OHA and NRC Picker have developed a pair of linked surveys, one for employees and the other for physicians. The Employee and Physician Experience Surveys provide effective tools for assessing and improving healthcare work environments.
The surveys provide employee and physician perspectives on three key dimensions of quality:
• patient care and patient safety
• work and practice environments
• work life.
The surveys are intended to meet the evolving needs of OHA members to adopt more integrated approaches
to quality improvement and to achieve overall higher levels of performance. NRC Picker will administer the surveys and report results to OHA members at a special group price. NRC Picker Canada and the OHA provide on-going support to organizations using the surveys to ensure that results do in fact contribute to quality improvements.
