Pandemic Planning Toolkit

The OHA Pandemic Planning Toolkit for Small, Rural, and Northern Hospitals was released in November 2007. The goals of the Toolkit are to provide practical strategies, checklists and templates to assist hospitals with the development and implementation of a Hospital Pandemic Plan that would respond to the unique issues and challenges faced in these communities.

The Toolkit was prepared by the OHA, in consultation with a working group comprised of hospital members who shared their expertise, and encompasses 16 chapters organized into four sections. As a practical guide, the Toolkit aims to supplement the information presented in the Ontario Health Pandemic Influenza Plan (OHPIP) , which was published and released by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care in July 2007.

The Toolkit has been made available to OHA Members only, and can be viewed or downloaded in its entirety or by individual chapters. Additional copies may also be purchased by contacting the OHA by email (publications@oha.com), phone (416-205-1350) or to use the OHA's online ordering system, click here (Publication, No. 319 (ISBN 978-0-88-621-320-6).
