The Joint Central Committee on Health and Safety (JCCHS) was created by the OHA and the Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU) as a result of a Letter of Understanding negotiated in 2003.
The mandate of the Committee is to gather information relating to the health and safety of OPSEU members in the hospital sector and to make recommendations to the OHA’s Health and Safety Advisory Committee (HSAC). The OHA and OPSEU have each selected two member representatives to sit on the Committee and it is further supported by staff from each organization.
