Welcome to the HR Leading Practices Resource Centre - The HR Leading Practices Resource Centre shares information to improve productivity, quality and cycle time among HR professionals in Ontario hospitals. This database was created to provide a knowledge-sharing service for our OHA members. We encourage members to submit best practice stories in order for the database to continue to grow.
What is a Leading Practice?
A leading practice is a process or procedure that consistently produces superior results. Peer-to-peer benchmarking is one method for finding best practices, and can be done with other departments or organizations (inside or outside your particular industry), that have achieved these superior results.
This Resource Centre provides examples of tools and techniques that have been developed by companies or hospitals to successfully manage a variety of HR issues. The focus is devoted to the practical application of these tools in order to help HR professionals in Ontario hospitals achieve its goals.
The database incorporates information from publications, site visits and general contact with member hospitals and other relevant organizations. Where applicable, references are provided to published documents, and contact details are provided for follow-up.
The HR Leading Practices Resource Centre is an on-going initiative that will be continuously populated, and the OHA is hopeful that it will serve as a conduit for further idea generation. The OHA welcomes feedback and encourages hospitals to contribute innovative practices.
