On September 7 2011, the OHA released its
Provincial Health Human Resources Work Plan for 2011-2013 to guide the activities of the OHA related to health human resources over the next two years. The Work Plan was developed based on input from the
OHA Strategic HR Provincial Leadership Council (“Council”), seven regional consultation meetings with members and stakeholders, four provincial teleconferences, and a validation survey.
To respond to the critical human resources issues facing hospitals and other stakeholders, the Work Plan incorporates the top suggestions of OHA members. It includes new goals and initiatives and builds on existing health human resources activities and accomplishments the OHA has achieved in the past couple of years.
We would like to thank those members, staff, and health system partners who participated in the consultation process as well as the Council who guided the planning process. The feedback and ideas received were very valuable, and assisted in informing the new Work Plan.
The Work Plan sets the direction we are taking and the goals we have set out for the two years; they include:
- Goal 1: Maximize Human Resources Effectiveness and Efficiency through Partnership
- Goal 2: Advance the Adoption of Leading Human Resources Practices
- Goal 3: Innovate for a Sustainable Future
