As part of the Provincial Health Human Resources Work Plan, the OHA partnered with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) to establish a provincial HR Benchmarking Program for health care in 2009.
Through this partnership, the OHA, together with Saratoga Canada, established a provincial human resources (HR) Benchmarking Program for health care in 2010, which includes an HR benchmarking survey and report for OHA members. The survey metrics were identified by the OHA Benchmarking Advisory Group, comprised of representatives from member organizations and are updated regularly to ensure ongoing relevance.
The OHA’s partnership with Saratoga has many benefits for OHA members:
- Clear placement of your organization amongst your OHA peers on a range of insightful HR and workforce-related metrics, helping you identify areas of strength and opportunities for improvement
- Consistent reporting on human capital metrics that enable “apples to apples” comparisons using world-class data collection, validation and reporting tools
- Identification and sharing of best practices with other OHA members
Participating organizations receive access to PwC Saratoga Canada’s web-based data collection, validation and reporting tool, an online performance report and are able to benchmark their results against peer groups within the Saratoga database, which includes both health care and non-health care organizations. Participants have access to Canadian benchmarks as well as international benchmark comparisons from the U.S. and European Human Capital Effectiveness Reports.
