On November 6, 2004, regulations to the Personal Health Information Protection Act (O. Reg. 329/04) were published in The Ontario Gazette. The Hospital Privacy Toolkit published in October 2004 has now been revised to reflect these regulations. (The original toolkit included references to the proposed or draft regulations only.) Below is a listing of the pages that have been revised. The replacement pages for the Toolkit are appended and a revised version of the toolkit will be posted on the OHA’s website at www.oha.com.

On September 1, 2005, the Mandatory Gunshot Wounds Reporting Act, 2005 became law, and as a result, public hospitals are required to report all gunshot wounds to police. The Hospital Privacy Toolkit published in October 2004 has now been revised to reflect this legislation. Below is a listing of the pages that have been revised.
