"Your Health Care – Be Involved” is an initiative developed and managed by the Ontario Hospital Association (with initial funding provided by the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term care). “Your Health Care – Be Involved” is the first of its kind in Ontario, providing patients with five “common sense” tips to engage and encourage them to be more involved in their health care. The initiative is guided by the concept of patient empowerment and on the important role patients can play at each stage in their care.
As part of its renewed commitment to patient safety, the OHA is re-launching the “Your Health Care – Be Involved” campaign with additional campaign materials. These materials are intended to supplement the materials from the original campaign launched in September 2005.
The re-launch materials are all available in high-resolution files to enable cost-efficient reproduction
Since the original launch of Your Health Care – Be Involved, Ontario’s hospitals continue to embrace the campaign and disseminate the important message of patient empowerment and involvement across their organizations. For more information about how Ontario hospitals are using the campaign,
