As part of its Physician Engagement Strategy, the Ontario Hospital Association established the Physician Provincial Leadership Council (PPLC) in November 2010, to provide strategic advice to the OHA on physician-related health system issues in Ontario. The Council is comprised of physicians and hospital CEOs representing a range of hospital types and sizes (i.e., acute teaching, addiction and mental health, community, complex continuing care/rehabilitation, and small hospitals).

The Resource Manual for Sustaining Quality Midwifery Services in Hospitals was developed in response to the 2001 Coroner’s Jury recommendation to the OHA to update the 1994 publication, The Integration of Midwifery Services into Hospitals Handbook. This resource is intended to assist hospitals with the integration of midwives into their organizations.
