Governors in Ontario’s health system – our hospitals, CCACs, LHINs and community providers – are being asked to take on an increased responsibility for transforming the health system to ensure quality patient care while managing cost and achieving higher levels of integration.  This two day course balances the need for building an understanding of the sector’s key issues and challenges with a focus on the skills and competencies needed to achieve on-going excellence in the role of the Chair of the Board.  Designed for experienced Board members, this course will provide a balance of case studies, discussions with other senior Board members, and guest lectures on varying elements of health care governance.
