All too often, Human Resources is not seen as being strategic to health care organizations. But in fact, HR professionals can identify trends and conditions that can drive strategic thinking and organizational development. As a timely example, it is critical that Human Resources professionals deeply understand the meaning and ramifications of the newly proclaimed Excellent Care for All Act and be able to guide their hospital and respond accordingly.

By doing so, these professionals can develop new programs, services and education to drive improvement throughout the organization – thereby creating a culture of engagement and fulfilling their role as a member of the senior team focused on safe and quality patient care delivered in hospitals where staff want to work, physicians want to practice, and patients want to receive care.

Our program will feature a keynote, from the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, on the Ministry’s perspective on the Act. Among other presentations, considerable discussion and roundtable dialogue will further pursue the meaning of the Act from the perspective of health care providers.

If you are a senior executive or a strategic thinker associated with a position in health care Human Resources, we hope you’ll join us October 14th in Toronto for this stimulating conference.
