Videoconferences

Videoconferencing is an interactive telecommunication technology which allows two or more locations to interact via two-way video and audio transmissions simultaneously. Videoconferences are considered a ‘two-way communication’ tool because speakers can see and speak to videoconference participants and the participants can see and reply back to the speakers.

OHA broadcasts our videoconference events through the Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN). OTN connects to every hospital in the province and over 500 sites in total.

Videoconference Technical Requirements

In order to take part in a videoconference event, you must have videoconference equipment (ex. videoconference room, system, TV monitor, camera and microphone) and make the necessary reservation arrangements with your telehealth coordinator.

If you have any questions please contact Candace Simas, Customer Care and Events Administrator, at 416-205-1355 or csimas@oha.com.
