Going Green!  The OHA Congratulates the 2011 Green Health Care Award Winners!

November 11, 2011 -  The Ontario Hospital Association and the Canadian Coalition for Green Health Care would like to congratulate the winners of the 10th annual Green Health Care Awards.  The awards were held at HealthAchieve 2011 and recognize hospitals and individuals who demonstrate leadership and excellence in reducing health care’s environmental impact in the areas of Energy Efficiency, Waste Management, Individual Leadership, and Overall Leadership.

 

The Awards committee would like to thank the award sponsors: Enbridge, MHPM Project Managers Inc., the Ontario Hospital Association, and The Recycling Council of Ontario, as well as all participants for the impressive submissions this year.

The Green Hospital Champion Fund Congratulates First Round of Applicants

The Green Hospital Champion Fund (GHCF) has received an overwhelming response to the GHCF Audit Program since its launch on September 30, 2010, and would like to thank everyone who has applied.  We are working through the applications for energy assessments and waste audits as fast as we can!

Hospitals interested in the program should apply as soon as possible to take advantage of this opportunity.
