Rescheduling of Sessions Re Proposed Accountability Agreements for Ontario Hospitals

On behalf of the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (MOHLTC) and the Ontario Hospital Association (OHA), the Joint Policy and Planning Committee (JPPC) has been planning four sessions for hospitals regarding the proposed new accountability agreement for Ontario hospitals. As you may know, these sessions were scheduled for June 3rd in Kingston, June 6th in Sault Ste. Marie, June 8th in London and June 9th in Toronto.

Given the complexity and importance of the proposed accountability agreement to both the Ministry and hospitals, and the importance of giving hospitals ample time to review and become familiar with the material, the OHA and the Ministry have decided to shift the dates for these sessions. The sessions have been rescheduled to the following dates and locations:

London
Monday, June 20
Delta London Armouries Hotel
325 Dundas Street, 519-679-6111

Sault Ste Marie
Tuesday, June 21
Algoma’s Water Tower Inn
360 Great Northern Road
705-945-7618
Bearskin Airlines
800-465-2327 (Discount Code HAARS2005)

Kingston
Thursday, June 23
Howard Johnson Confederation Place Hotel
237 Ontario Street, 613-549-6300

Toronto
Friday June 24
Courtyard Marriott Downtown Toronto
475 Yonge Street, 416-924-0611

As the result of the changes, the deadline for registration has been extended to Friday, June 10, 2005. All people who had registered for the previously scheduled sessions will be automatically registered for the same location on the new date. The JPPC will be emailing a confirmation of registration to those individuals shortly. Please notify Kavitha Ganapathy at the JPPC (Tel: 416-599-5772 ext 234; Email: registration@jppc.org) if you are unable to attend your rescheduled session.

If you have any additional questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact Paula Neves at the JPPC at 416-599-5772 ext 224 or pneves@jppc.org.
