It provides eligible members with a lifetime of pension based on earnings history and service in the Plan. - Collective purchasing of these benefits through the OHA allows for access to uniform benefits at competitive costs. In addition to achieving cost savings, other benefits associated with involvement in these Group Plans include: Gaining access to plan design features that may not otherwise be available, Setting customer service expectations and associated performance agreements and establishing customized management reporting
- As the policyholder, the OHA assumes responsibility for the ongoing administrative costs and financial Plan governance, which in turn, reduces the need for specialized resources in these areas in your organization. All organizations that participate in the OHA-sponsored HOODIP Plan gain access to support from OHA’s Organization Health Management Services staff. Staff support includes expertise and resources in the areas of disability management, health and safety, attendance management, selecting third-party providers and prevention strategies through the Health Hospital Initiative. Access to OHA staff support for non-HOODIP members is on a fee for service basis.
