Mental Health and Addiction Video Communications Package
On May 29, 2008, the Ontario Hospital Association’s (OHA) Mental Health and Addiction Provincial Leadership Council launched a video highlighting the importance of mental health and addiction treatment services in Ontario, as well as the many challenges facing the sector. Leveraging these resources can make a substantive difference in strengthening overall system capacity, ultimately enhancing the quality of care provided in our province’s hospitals and in the community.
The launch event, which took place at Queen’s Park in Toronto, gathered together Members of Provincial Parliament (MPPs), hospital leaders, and community partners to help raise awareness of the issues, and to increase the understanding of the vital role played by hospitals and the community in providing mental health and addiction services. The OHA developed a communications package to supplement the video and further emphasize its key messages. The materials contained in the communications package include:
