The Board of Directors of the Hospitals of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP) is comprised of 16 Trustees, eight of whom are appointed by the OHA and eight of whom are appointed by the Unions: Ontario Nurses Association (ONA), Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE), Service Employees International Union (SEIU), Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU).

It is the responsibility of the Nominations and Elections Committee to recommend to the OHA Board the OHA representatives to the Board of Directors of HOOPP. Of the eight OHA-appointed trustee positions, two positions will be vacant as of December 31, 2007. To fill these vacancies the OHA is seeking qualified individuals with senior management experience and pension administration knowledge to serve on the HOOPP Board of Directors for a three-year term, effective January 1, 2008. Candidates will be drawn from a mix of:
· Trustees of members of the OHA that are also members of HOOPP; or
· Persons employed by members, being a CEO, CFO and VP, Human Resources; and where appropriate skills are not available, then
· Experts in the field who are not necessarily affiliated with health care organizations.
