Message from the Chair

As the Chair of the Region 4 Regional Council Executive Committee (RCEC), it is my pleasure to welcome you to the Region's section of the Ontario Hospital Association (OHA) website. This site provides you with information about regional activities, such as our Education Conference, Annual Meeting, Region 4 Regional Executive Committee, schedules, members meeting packages, and the Regional Council Terms of Reference. Please take a moment and become familiar with our content.
The Region 4 Regional Council Executive Committee is an 11 member committee made up of Chief Executive Officers, Trustees and Senior Management of Region 4 hospitals who meet twice per year or at the call of the Chair to discuss and advance regional issues.
During January and February of this past year, Tom Closson, President and Chief Executive Officer, OHA, and Peter Johnson, Board Chair, OHA, visited 8 cities as part of their Member Engagement Tour. These visits provided Tom, Peter, and the OHA staff who accompanied them, first-hand knowledge of the issues being faced by hospitals and how the OHA could continue to address their issues.
The Region 4 RCEC seeks to actively address regional issues identified by our members through our meetings, and by participating in strategic working groups/taskforces and committees of the OHA.
