The OHA divides the province’s hospitals into five Regions. Each Region has a Regional Membership base, which comprises the hospitals within the Region. With the adoption of the revised OHA By-law #1 (November, 2012), Regions may establish Executive Committees to govern and manage Regional activities. These Executive Committees will be governed by their own Terms of Reference in accordance with OHA By-law 1. These terms outline the relationship with the OHA, the role and responsibilities, membership, financial administration, and nominations/ elections for the Executive Committee (EC).
The OHA's Five Regions:
· Region 1 - North – (Kenora, Thunder Bay, Sudbury, Parry Sound)
· Region 2 - East – (Ottawa, Kingston, Peterborough, Belleville)
· Region 3 - Central – (Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area)
· Region 4 - South – (Niagara, Kitchener, Oakville, Muskoka)
· Region 5 - West – (Windsor, London, Stratford, Owen Sound)
