• Protecting the 2.1% base funding allocation for hospitals in the midst of the economic downturn;
• Working to ensure patients receive care in the most appropriate settings;
• Raising the bar for health provider transparency, through myhospitalcare.ca;
• Ensuring predictable and affordable wage increases for more than 20,000 hospital staff;
• And much more.
In addition to its many accomplishments in support of its strategic directions, the OHA also achieved many internal successes this year, including being named as one of Greater Toronto’s Top 90 Employers in the Toronto Star and achieving an impressive 99% employee engagement among its staff.
